The inspiration behind this whole piece comes from the high peaks of the Cairngorms to the lower summits of the Peak District. 

Each line that makes up this mountain, represents an individual summit. The point at which the line ends, marks the scaled height, ordered west to east. The flip in the lines travelling from top to bottom marks the highest mountain in the national parks. Essentially the largest peaks are in the centre of the country, tapering off towards the coastlines.
